I started over 8 years ago looking to make real money at home. Back then, I was a completely amateur and had no clue how to do my research and find something that was legitimate. I have been scammed quite a few times and have jumped from one work at home job to another because nothing seemed to satisfy me or allow me to make the income necessary to contribute to the household. After a few years of this struggle I finally settled into my own home based business.
This is not to say that a home business is for everyone. In fact, a work from home job is probably not for everyone either. Some confuse the two. Below are descriptions of both these options and how you can make real money at home with either one of them. It just depends on your preference.
Work at Home Job
This type of work is very similar to what you get when you commute to a 9 to 5 job outside the home. The only difference is you get to stay home and work. With a home job, you are still “employed” with a company. You will still have a strict schedule to adhere to. You will still have the boss and generally you will make a set amount each week.
Depending on the job, you will most likely be required to have a quiet background (this makes it difficult to keep your kids home), however, there are jobs around that you can do strictly online but these are very hard to find and fill up really quick.
Although there is usually no fees to get started working a work at home job, you are responsible for your own home office equipment and supplies. This could include a headset, long distance calling plan, printer, foot pedal, etc. Many companies require a background check. You will have to interview with the company to make sure you qualify for the job before getting started. Any time off requires approval.
Home Based Business
A home business is a bit different than a job. You do work from your home and there is no commute. With a business, you are actually building what is called a residual income (this is where you are paid every month for work that you have already done). The good thing about building a residual income is that not only is it a great way to make real money at home, but there is no limit to how much you can make. Your earnings are based on your effort. So, it is absolutely necessary to work your home business in order to make money.
A home based business is YOURS. You are in fact your own boss and can set your own hours, work when you want and as much as you want. You can take time off when you want. Almost all businesses require an up front investment and monthly overhead to stay in the business. This is because it is a business that you own and not a job. You can find many businesses that are under $100.
The great thing about a business is it can literally change your life. If you work hard for a couple years, you can be financially set for the rest of your life. You can give up that 40 year retirement plan for the 4 year retirement plan with a home business if you really work hard during those 4 years.
When looking to make real money at home, it does not matter which option you pick as they are both reliable choices. I guess the choice would be are you looking for the guaranteed weekly paycheck or are you looking for a little more of a challenge to build financial freedom?
